DISTRIBUTIVE ARTEFACT
This project presents a multifunctional furniture artefact inspired by fire’s movement, color, and its conceptual opposite—ice. Through sliding translucent panels made of colored PMMA, three modular blocks dynamically transform domestic spaces such as the kitchen, living room, and office. The panels evoke the fluidity of flames, while the materiality reflects coldness and clarity. The artefact not only organizes space, but adapts to it—serving as storage, furniture, and even play elements for children, embodying function, emotion, and transformation.

This project transforms Mies van der Rohe’s Farnsworth House into a biophilic office, integrating architecture with nature to enhance well-being. The intervention includes a new meeting room, a shared bathroom, and a central green zone where a tree pierces through the roof. The layout features 8 individual desks, 4 group tables, and green areas with curved glass, a planted roof, and a grass terrace with undulating ground for informal seating. The design blends natural light, vegetation, and ergonomic furniture, creating a workspace rooted in calm, connection, and environmental awareness.
